Our twinkly cosy wooden boathouse restaurant
is a great place to celebrate Christmas!

Enjoy eco-Christmas crackers, festive tunes, our pretty Christmas tree by the bar, while you indulge in delicious home-cooked food. With our unique riverside setting you can also enjoy our newly sheltered terrace space, with temporary walls protecting you from the elements, pretty lights and infra red heat panels, it’s a beautiful “outdoor” extension to our riverside restaurant!

Starters (Christmas Dinner)
  • Pumpkin soup, crispy sage & truffle oil (v) (vegan)
  • Beetroot cured home-smoked salmon, lightly pickled vegetables
  • Our butcher’s wild boar paté, spiced apple & red onion chutney
  • Chestnut & cranberry falafel, mixed leaf salad (vegan)
  • Crispy calamari (baby squid), lemon aioli
  • Starters served with freshly baked bread & butter.
Mains (Christmas Dinner)
  • The following three dishes are served with rosemary & thyme roast potatoes, seasonal greens, & winter root vegetables roasted in honey & wholegrain mustard
  • Roast free-range turkey breast, pig in blanket, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce
  • Slow roast belly of pork, Somerset cider gravy
  • Confit duck leg, black cherry & red wine sauce

  • Pan fried hake/sea bass fillet, served with a risotto of lemon, rocket & capers
  • Boatman nut & lentil patty (chestnuts, lentils, nuts & winter vegetables) served with new potatoes sautéed with seasonal greens, rich tomato sauce (vegan)
  • Gnocchi with roast cherry tomatoes, peas & spinach, in a creamy parmesan & black pepper sauce (v)
  • 8oz sirloin steak with garlic butter, served with chips, salad, & grilled tomatoes (there is a £5 supplement for the steak, thank you)

  • Traditional Christmas pudding with brandy custard (v)
  • Warm chocolate brownie, chocolate sauce & coconut ice cream (v)
  • Vanilla cheesecake, berry compote, & creamy blackcurrant ice-cream (v)

Our meat is supplied by the excellent Terry & Son Butchers on London Street. Our vegetables & salad are non-sprayed, & locally grown (where possible) by Ger Rich, next to Solsbury Hill. Service is discretionary but for groups of 10 or more we ask for a 10% optional service charge, gratuities go to the team who serve you – thank you.
