Now also open for lunch on Wednesdays and Thursdays! April to September

The food was first class – perfection. Rosy was so welcoming and our waitress could not do enough for us all. What an absolute gem!”

Just ten minutes stroll from Bath City Centre, the Bathwick Boatman overlooks one of the prettiest reaches of the River Avon. Perched above Bath’s historic boating station, this old rowing clubhouse is a charming place to enjoy lunch or dinner. The Bathwick Boatman offers a deliciously simple and rustic menu made with the freshest produce on the market. Everything is freshly prepared on the premises and the dishes reflect a love of robust earthy flavours.

Weddings and celebrations

A magical place to make memories – the most wonderful weddings and special occasions have been celebrated here over the years. The restaurant space can be booked, along with covered terrace overlooking the river. We welcome different sized groups from 4 to 60.

Overlooking the famous River Avon

During summer the riverbank trees and views upstream make you feel “away from it all”, it’s hard to imagine we’re a stone’s throw from the city centre. In the winter our boathouse restaurant is more like a cosy wooden chalet. Open all year round with the convenience of customer car parking (limited parking; until 5pm).

Distinctive curated wines

“Rosy and Ben take care in choosing a small but interesting variety of quality wines for their restaurant, these are delicious wines offered at honest prices” Richard Guest, Talking Wines. With bottled locally brewed beers, ciders and lagers, a good range of soft drinks, spirits and mixers, it’s a well priced bar, also offering great freshly-ground coffee and a selection of teas.
